To say that an earthquake is God’s wrath on humanity for their “pact with the devil”, for abortion in American and for failure to properly address climate change I find repulsive. What kind of person with faith would verbalize such? I am saddened that Sojourners would condone such comments.

Perhaps you misinterpreted my column. It was intended as satire. Of course, Rev. Robertson didn’t intend them as satire. I think he was entirely serious. I however, intended satire.
